Speaking

Screen Shot 2018-03-01 at 2.38.02 PMMy name is Alex Doriot. As a former Youth Pastor I know how important having the right speaker at your event is. I also know firsthand what it takes to connect to young audiences, especially inner-city and urban groups.

I’m not afraid to share my failures, to get messy, and to go deep when it comes to proclaiming the Gospel. Whether it’s my experience as a professional wrestling failure, embarrassing myself in front of Bruce Springsteen, limping across a marathon finish line, or a history of bad break-ups, I have no shame in sharing my pain so that your students can learn about the love and the redemption which can only be found in Jesus.

I also pride myself on being able to connect with students by using the skills I’ve honed on my blog Pop God over the past 5 years by using pop culture to relate the the truths of sin and salvation.

As a 14-year veteran of youth ministry I’ve had the opportunity to speak to groups from 3 to 300 students across Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. It is one of my greatest joys to share the Gospel with teenagers.

If you’re looking for a speaker for your next camp, retreat, or event then I would love to talk with you about how I can serve.

Here’s an example of a message I could bring to your group. (Ignore the suit and tie, I tend to leave those at home for youth events.)

But what if you’re saying to yourself, “Self, I’ve already secured a top notch speaker for my next event. What I could really use is someone to liven up the crowd with ridiculous games and activities.”

If that’s the case, you’re in the right spot. Because I’m also ready to take my skills as a top-level Games and Skits Leader on the road too.
